KEEPING UP WITH THE JONE'S
|
|
∞14/09∞ wrote this 1 day ago on |
| We keep hearing about how much better the Yankees have gotten this season and we have to start spending some money so we can keep up with them. Let's look at this a little deeper.
2004: After losing the 2003 World Series the Yankees opened up their checkbook and added Kenny Lofton, Gary Sheffield and A-Rod to their line up. They also added Kevin Brown, Javy Vazquez, John Lieber, Tommy Gordon, and Paul Quantril to their...

And then Kippster came up with the same idea this year.
So January 12 is the day that the Cooperstown HOF elections are announced. Let's show our support for Jimmy Rice by putting up Rice default photos.

Did you know that the spark that set off WWI happened right in Sarejevo? Sometime in 1915 (I think) Arch Duke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie of Austria-Hungary were traveling through Sarejevo and were killed by Serb nationalists. It's true, you can look it up, you can look it up in the book.

A little while ago I wrote about a writing campaign for Jimmy Rice's HOF election. A lot of people liked the idea but a couple people had pretty valid points on why we shouldn't do a writing campaign.

I'm thinking that we should do a writing campaign to send letters to the media pinheads asking them to do the right thing and finally elect Jimmy into the HOF. He was da man of his generation and they didn't print, "Pitchers pay the price when they face Jim Rice." on millions of Slushie cups...

THE LOGIC OF FAITH

| So it was the 7th inning last night, we were down 7-0 after Papelbon allowed two inherited runners to score in the top of the frame. Yeah things weren't looking very good. Things looked worse after the Rays got two quick outs. We all know that everything started to go our way after Peddy got that two out hit. It's quite suprising that we'd won that game. Actually no, it's not surprising at all.
